Chamber members have the opportunity to network with professional contacts at our Business After Hours. These events are hosted by our member businesses to help promote their business and develop long lasting relationships with other members. Host one of these events at your business and we’ll take care of promotions.
Factbilt Credit Reporter
The Chamber provides a weekly Factbilt Credit Report to members that would like
to subscribe. The report contains useful information for gaining potential business
prospects. These valuable facts include marriage licenses, judgments, property transfers,
new mortgages, satisfied mortgages and deaths in the region.

Networking
Membership Luncheons/Breakfasts: The Chamber provides informative
speakers with topics for keeping our businesses up to date. These meetings are held
almost every month of the year and are open to all Chamber members and guests.
Wellness Expo: The Chamber’s Community Wellness Committee hosts
an informational Expo with a diversity of sessions including speakers and presenters.
Those who attend will learn to encourage everyone to continue growing as a person,
which can enhance relationships with families, friends and even co-workers.
Job Fair: The Brush Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce and Central
Susquehanna Opportunities, Inc. in partnership with PA CareerLink Northumberland
County host this quality event connecting area employers and post-secondary schools
with hundreds of potential employees and students from the Brush Valley Region.
Annual Awards Dinner: The Chamber recognizes and honors our chamber
members for their unselfish contributions and numerous accomplishments during the
past year. Categories include Elected Official of the Year - Small Business of the
Year - Large Business of the Year - Community Pride and Member of the Year.
Annual Chamber Golf Tournament: In conjunction with our Mission
Statement the Chamber holds this annual fundraiser to help support all of our goals.
The proceeds from this event support Business and Education, Economic Development
and other worthwhile endeavors.
Business Showcase: Every other year the Chamber holds their Business
Showcase. The Business Showcase displays different businesses and their products
and services to the public.
Business and Education Career Symposium: During the school year
the Business and Education Committee hosts a Career Symposium. All the school districts
within the Brush Valley Region participate by getting their students involved to
learn more about the different industry partnerships and job opportunities within
the region.
Annual Dinner: The Annual Dinner is the most formal event of the
year. Members gather to reorganize and hear about the accomplishment their Chamber
has made throughout the past year.
Newsletter
The Chamber will publish a quarterly newsletter in conjunction with The News-Item.
The publication helps to spread the word about the functions and events that the
Chamber hosts to enhance the region.
Newsletter Inserts: An additional advertising opportunity for our
members is placing an ad in the newsletter. Display your company’s future event
or any new information and have it disbursed to all the members.
Notary Services
Our Chamber members receive free notary services at our office located at 2 E. Arch
Street, Suite 313A, in Shamokin. Appointments for this service are suggested.

Brochure Rack Display: We encourage members to display their updated brochures, promotional
items and business cards for the public to view. The Chamber office is often called
on for updated information.
Demographic & Economic Profile: This profile information is taken from the Center
for Workforce Development & Analysis and includes information pertaining to
the Brush Valley Region. There is no fee for Chamber members.
Mailing Labels: Purchase peel & stick membership mailing labels for your direct
mail campaign.
Membership Lists: The Chamber provides our current membership list at no charge to
its members.
Membership Directory: What an asset to be able to have your business listed in this
professional business listing. With the listing you get your business in an alphabetical,
city and categorical search engine. Your listing also has your website link.
Regional Map: Where is the Brush Valley Region? Our regional maps are a great asset
to many tourists and prospective businesses inquiring about the region. Display
advertising is available on the maps and there are many disbursed each year.
Copies: Black & White. No fee for the first 5 copies. $.15 per copy over 5 copies.
Faxes: There is no fee for Chamber members.
Referrals
The Chamber receives hundreds of phone calls every year from people seeking local
products and services. Your membership puts your business on the exclusive referral
list. We continually encourage and refer these inquires to use Chamber members.
Representation
Local Government: The Chamber works with local government officials
in the region to make doing business in the Brush Valley the best it can possibly
be.
State and Federal Government: The Chamber is informed about state
and local issues. Our members take positions and help to encourage the highest quality
of life for everyone. We effectively communicate the voice of business to appropriate
elected officials and government offices.
Ribbon Cuttings
The Chamber will help to coordinate your ribbon cutting for no fee. New and old
businesses are welcome to use this service to showcase your business. The Chamber
will also help to publicize your ribbon cutting event.
